A warm welcome is assured at Lorum Old Rectory, which nestles beneath the Blackstairs Mountains. Built in 1863 of cut granite, the rectory sits beneath Mount Leinster in the tranquil Barrow Valley. Photographs and family memorabilia combine to give that wonderful 'at home' feeling. I [Bobbie Smith] and my family have built an international reputation for delicious and imaginative home cooking, incorporating mainly local and organically grown produce. I am a member of Slow Food and Euro-Toques. There is fishing and walking alongside the Barrow River, or you can wander in the garden or play croquet. Celtic Cycling, based here at Lorum, organises self-guided 'go as you please' tours in South-East Ireland.
